The religious education of our children needs to be a priority! To help accomplish this the KidZone is the area we designate just for kids! Our goal is to have a fun, safe environment where children can learn about the awesome grace that is available to them thru a relationship with Jesus Christ. Have your kids join us there on Sunday mornings for a worship time designed especially for them. They will experience a time of worship through action songs, puppets and skits that is all led by our own Jr. Worship team.
Besides the worship time we also have classes for various age groups. Since ages 3 thru Pre-K typically have shorter attention spans, they meet separately while while the older age groups meet together for group activities. After this they break up into groups by grade.
Grades K-2 have their own class while Grades 3, 4 & 5 have a session called “Flyte”. Here these groups meet to learn about Christ on their age level in a way that they can understand. They will get to participate in age appropriate activities that will deepen their knowledge of God and His Word and they will leave desiring to serve Him.
On Wednesday evenings during the school year we have classes that are packed with fun. We use various curriculums as well as activities that will make church fun and exciting while at the same time be educational. Each class has their own theme and is designed just for them. The kids meet with the adults for a time of worship before going to their classes.
The FunZone! We also have a new area called “The FunZone” for our kids to utilize. This area contains several bounce houses and other inflatable games where kids can have some fun while here at church learning about Christ. Both kids and adults love this area and the uniqueness it brings to the ministry of River’s Edge.
Safety is a number one priority at REFC! To help assure this we have background checks ran on every children’s ministry and youth worker before they are allowed to work with children. This may be a bit inconvenient, but it is worth it to protect the vulnerable.
